LOOFAH SPONGE

Natural loofah sponges actually come from the fruit of loofah plants. These plants are part of the Cucurbitaceae family, the same family as watermelons, cucumbers and pumpkins. When a loofah fruit dries and is peeled, the fibrous interior remains, which can be used as a sponge.
